Randomocity

... that is SO a word.

We've had beautiful weather lately except for one thing.  No rain.  None. Nuthin.  Nada.  And that means we are living in a pollen and dust bowl.  Hello Allegra/Zyrtec/Claritin/Flonase.    I haven't used any of that stuff yet, but I probably should.  Itchy, sneezy, general feeling of yuck - *sigh

Anyway.. on to the other random -

We had a glorious Memorial Day Weekend - time spent with family enjoying good food, good weather, a frisbee and good horses, it's all good.

Timely, we watched American Sniper... wow, what a story.  And if you need a dose of reality, this movie is it.  The horrors our soldiers endure is hideous.  The mentality over there is ... I don't have an appropriate word for it.  What an incredible man, what a tragic end.

On to better things -  K & Opie - I've been lax in the riding department and Kris has been giving him some much needed exercise.

I just found this funny -

A Mother's Day gift from my son - I love it. At night it casts a lovely
glow over the kitchen sink.

Speaking of my son - he traded in his car for a really rad
Jeep.  You know we love our Jeeps around here...
He's the Black Jeep Of The Family.
The fellow next to him is my cousin Kev.
A finer man you might never know -
He taught my son all about the joys of
GOING TOPLESS the other day...
because sometimes that's how we roll.

  1. Looks like you had a lovely weekend... love all the pictures.
Got a kick out of the calendar thing.
I definitely believe randomocity is a word. My theory is that if you can say it, it's a word :)
I have to say that since I seem to do that a lot.

  2. LOVE the new Jeep!! I sure am enjoying mine!! It practically drives itself! :)

American Sniper was raw and tragic. I totally agree with you.

That is a beautiful gift your son gave you for Mother's Day. You have awesome kids Karen!

  3. Glad you guys had a good holiday weekend.

I'm in Jeep envy; will have to buy something before long,
but probably not a Jeep. :(

Hope you get rain soon; it's a shame it can't be spread around better, all that in Texas is awful.

  6. My hubby, detailed my Jeep today. It sparkles like it did the day we drove it off the show room floor in 2005. #gowrangler

  8. You're not alone in the less rain department. Out in the way, way West where we usually have ample rainfall, we've also had less. And of course you've heard about Cali's 4-year running drought...they're predicting a horrendous wildfire season. Love the Jeep! Very cool looking. I entered a contest for a 1970 CJ Jeep 5 and it is just awesome!! Has everything you can imagine on board, including its' own generator, winch and a bunch of stuff I have no clue about. I only know that it would be a super kick to drive around, and I'd look totally cool in it! :) *fingers crossed* Love the "candle holder"? or is it a lamp? Either way - love it!! And the sign...made me spew my water all over my desk! Too funny! Have a good weekend Karen.
